A piano is a beautiful instrument, but it is also one of the heaviest and most difficult to move. Like all of our moving jobs, we start with our estimate. All of our piano moves are one of four flat rates, depending on the type of piano and if there are any stair involved. This enables us to make sure that we are providing the right number of movers to take on the job. Sometimes two is sufficient, but three or more may be required for some grand pianos.

Once we have provided you with the estimate and you accept it, you reserve your moving date. Then, we bring the materials and equipment needed to protect and move the piano. In some situations, we might remove the legs of the piano to protect them. Once the instrument is on a skid board, it will be wheeled out to the truck, and then strapped down in the truck so it does not shift during transportation. Every step is done in reverse when we get it to its destination.

* Piano moving rates include up 3 hours of moving, and a total of 50 miles traveling from our warehouse to pick-up, to drop-off and back to our warehouse.
